Understand stock management

Part stocks can be viewed across the entire fleet (company) or by vessel.

Stock is managed by the vessel (manually when goods are delivered and when parts are used for an overhaul or by import to set up the initial ROB quantities).

Stock management is set up by the office: the stock administrator specifies stock levels by minimum and maximum levels.

Parts for which the current stock level is below minimum are clearly marked.

Historical stock movements (addition/removal) are logged by the system and can be viewed at any time.

Stock movement can be commented/explained by adding a "reason of stock movement".

ROB values can be entered and confirmed on the fleet.

Parts can be requested for purchase according to the minimum and maximum settings.

Parts required for an overhaul and not on stock can automatically be requested in the planned maintenance.

Part stock locations are selected from a customized list managed on board the vessel. Locations can be commented and explained.

Part documents can be managed from within stock management.

The value of parts can be entered in the office and by that the stock value can be calculated.

Notes on part types and remarks on individual parts on stock can be entered and are visible at the office and on the vessel.
